You are bidding on a World War II official U.S. Marine Corps photo titled "Route Step . . . Mud". The photo measures approximately 8" tall and 10" wide. The following is stamped in purple ink on the back: "ROUTE SETP (sic) . . . MUD---Marines moving up to the Bougainville front lines ran afoul of General Mud. Here some of the Marines demonstrate various forms of footwork for muddy going. The leader (right) is recovering his balance after a mist-step (sic), the third Marine from the end lifts his feet high, while the other Leathernecks just plow right through. Hdqtrs. No: 68,247 DIST.
