    Description

    You are bidding on a U.S. Army Signal Corps photo of Private Steve Vargo of the 756 tank battalion preparing C rations over a field stove.  The photo measures approximately 8" tall and 10" wide.  There is a typed description of the photo taped onto the back that reads:  "Pvt. Steve Vargo of Dillevendo, Ohio, from 756 tank Battalion, prepares a meal of C. Rations over field stove.  Note tommy gun resting on his lap."  The following is stamped in green ink on the back:  "SIGNAL CORPS PHOTO PLEASE CREDIT RELEASED FOR PUBLICATION BY BUREAU OF PUBLIC RELATIONS WAR DEPARTMENT".  There is also a sticker adhered to the back with the same typed description, and some handwritten ink and pencil writing on the back.  The photo does not lie flat but is in good condition.  The corners show minor wear and some discoloration.  Please see our photos for more information regarding condition.  This is a very nice
