You are bidding on a World War II official U.S. Army Signal Corps photo of Army reinforcements disembarking from LSTs and proceeding across a coral reef toward the beach at Saipan dated June 17, 1944. The photo measures approximately 8" tall and 10" wide. The following is stamped in purple ink on the back: "SC 191475 These Army reinforcements disembarking from LST's form a graceful curve as they proceed across a coral reef toward the beach on Saipan. 6/17/44. Signal Corps Photo Please Credit Released for Publication By Bureau of Public Relations War Department". There is also a sticker adhered to the back with the same typed description of the photo. The U.S. Army Signal Corps logo can be seen in the lower left corner and "191475" is written in white in the lower right corner. The photo does not lie flat, but is in good condition. The corners show some minor wear and discoloration. Please see our photos for more information regarding condition.
