Description
Here is a lot of 68 original photographs from World War II taken at various locations around the globe. Most of the photos came from the private collection of Arthur H. Rogers,U.S. Army Brigadier-General,
Commanding Officer 30th Infantry Regiment, although it is a mixed lot. I was told that some of the photos were taken for the Boston Globe; I don't know if that's accurate. The sizes vary but most are 5" x 4". Some of the locations include:
New Guinea
New Caledonia
Oran, Algeria
Russell Islands
Italy
Mississippi
Munda, New Georgia, Solomon Islands
Zanana, New Georgia, Solomon Islands
(Battle of Munda Point)
Guadalcanal
Manila, Phillipines
Colon, Panama
I also have a listing for a lot of the General's letters and ephemera, as well as his WWI photos.
