WWII DOUGLAS DAUNTLESS? SCRAP PLANE for parts Marines ORIGINAL Photo, vintage
Personally, I think this pic is so cool because who takes photos of the scrap planes? This one is missing the engine, rudder, all of the plexiglass, and so much of the skin has been cut off to patch other planes. I'm not positive what kind of plane this is, but I think it looks a lot like a Douglas Dauntless. So much of the plane is missing that it's a bit hard to tell (and the fuselage is bent, too). This came from a lot of WWII Pacific photos, but the photos aren't labeled, so I don't know where this is.
