RARE VINTAGE CARVED BAKELITE APPLE BELT BUCKLE CHERRY TOMATO RED PAINTED FRUIT

Description

Rare vintage hand carved Bakelite large two apple belt buckle, two-color, cherry and tomato red with green paint on stems, 1930-1940's. Measures approximately 3 1/2" across, 2" tall, 1/4" thick, 36.1 grams. In very good vintage condition, no cracks, chips or crazing. To be expected, a little green paint wear on stems probably from a shirt rubbing on stems as mainly on tops (Picture #3) which can hardly be seen when viewed from front (main picture). Hardware on back, one apple's is chrome plated and the other isn't (Picture #5). Carving on front, sides where two apples meet and top either side of stems (Pictures #3 & #4) - a little of the hand carving can even be seen on the back where buckles join. Great color combination, a very hard to find outstanding addition to your Bakelite collection. Thanks very much!
