    Description

Up for bid is a nice grouping of items belonging to a Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF.  The grouping comes with mostly post war material, but doing some research I have found him to have been a pilot in the Air Corps during WWII, specifically in the pacific theater during the Gilbert Islands campaign.  I will share with the winning bidder if they would like the information.  The group contains a large group photo of General Staff Class 27 in May 1946, a few newspaper clippings, an immunization card, Class 54D yearbook 'Vertigo' from Spence Air Force Base where he was the Commanding Officer of the base, 15 nice air to air photos of T-28's in flight all approximately 5" x 7", 15 miscellanouse on base photos and such all approximately 8"x10", 31 photos of an event called Transpo 72 (US International Transportatoin Exposition which was held as a trade show at Dulles International Airport in 1972), and a photo album named Hawthorne School of Aeronatuics with his named embossed on the cover that contains approximately 20 8" x 10" photographs of the goings on at Spence Air Force Base where the Lt. Col. was commanding officer.  Overall a nice set that has a lot of research potential to a high ranking Air Force man!
