Genuine California DMV Vanity License Plate - JNS ADXN (Jane's Addiction)

I visited my parents recently and was digging through some boxes filled with things of mine that I'd been storing there since probably the early 2000s and found a few things that I'd completely forgotten about. One such thing is this vanity license plate from my very first car. I was such a huge fan of Jane's Addiction in the late 80s/early 90s that I ordered vanity license plates - JNS ADXN - from the DMV in 1988 and registered them with the late 70s Toyota Celica (aka the Cow Car) that I drove in high school and beyond. I actually drove that car with those plates to the first Lollapalooza festival at Shoreline Amphitheatre in 1991. I ended up giving the car to my now-ex-wife when I moved out of state
in 1994
. But before doing so, I removed the front license plate from the car as a personal souvenir. We have not kept in touch over the years, so I have no idea what
ultimately
became of the car or the rear plate. It's highly unlikely that it is still on the road all these years later. And it's equally unlikely that my ex-wife would've kept the rear plate as I don't think that she was a particular fan of Jane's Addiction. My best guess is that the car was scrapped at some point and the rear plate turned over to the California DMV to be destroyed as per protocol. So this license plate is very likely one-of-a-kind, but could be one-half of just two-of-a-kind.
