1973 Fender Pecision Bass

1973 Fender Precision bass. ,300 or offer.
Rosewood fingerboard. Original bridge, pickguard and tuners. I have original strap pins but strap locks have been installed.
I purchased it from a professional player in 2011 in Seattle. It has lots of character dings and the lacquer has been removed from the back of the neck and has been tung oiled, as there were cigarette burns .The original lacquer and decal have been left intact on the face of the headstock.
The original pickups had been removed and replaced with Alembic pickups. I had those removed and replaced with passive Fender ‘62 reissue pickups and the cavity lined with copper foil for noise reduction. Truss rod moves easily.
This is a classic P bass with a thicker neck and a strong dark tone offering many years of professional and aesthetic enjoyment!
P basses were used in so many styles of music from Motown to the Beachboys, but Leo Fender had originally intended it for Country music. I used it in a Classic Rock cover band.
Unfortunately it has no hard case. Inexpensive gig bag included.
