    Description

    Original Vintage WWII 1944-5 photo I just removed from an US Army ENGR lower rank Officer's John Edward Martin Jr's album.  Photos in this album are from CBI & building the Ledo Road.  Some photos I left on album paper with what he wrote.  Pages were double sided so half I peeled off and wrote what he had in the album on the back.  The removed photos have album residue on back with writing underneath
    I haven't figured out his unit.  some clues: there are lots of photos from  Section 4, Bhamo which is 40 Miles to Namhkam Burma on the China border and into China.
    One photo has 12th ENGR REGT on a photo which could be
    "12th Chinese Engineer Regiment, attached."
    38th Div ENGR BN on one photo.
    71st Pontoon Co on another
    209th EnGR BN Combat, on another
    Lots of high ranking officers are identified so more research needed.
