    This is an original press photo. Dance for joy of freedom. Italy -- Sergeant Edwin M. Braswell, Rocky Mountain, North Carolina, was so joyous and excited after being flown from prison camps in Romania by B-17's to Italy, that he kicked off his shoes and did a jig on Italian soil. More than 1,000 airmen were flown to Italy shortly after the surrender of Romania on August 23. (US Army Air Corps in Italy) Photo measures 7 x 9.25 inches. Photo is dated 09-22-1944.
