Original ACME Newspicture Photo 6/28/39 Brazilian Army Chief Visits 'West Point of the Air' This is an original photo from an estate sale collection of WWII & Korean War photos. On the back it says: "San Antonio, Texas - Major General Pedro Aurelio De Goes Monteiro, Chief of Staff of the Brazilian Army, on a good will tour of the United States, disembarks from a giant army Air Corps transport plane at Randolph Field, Texas, to inspect the 'West Point of the Air'. General Monteiro center, is being greeted by high Air Corps officials." Colonel Augustine W. Robins, Commanding Officer of the Air Corps Training Center is facing general at the right. At the extreme right, in civilian clothes, is Mayor Maury Maverick of San Antonio, Texas."
